This is the place where you can post any ideas on skills/items etc. You can tell me what you'd like to see in my mod or just find out wether that nifty little skill idea of yours is possible! Also, you can chat about general things in here...if you so desire :D

First thing, I need any ideas for a level 24 ice skill idea, for the sorceress. Basically a frozen orb replacement. Go wild!

Well I'm always a big fan of minions and the vanilla sorc basically doesn't have any so it's nice to see she at least has a goblin on her side. How about another more powerful cold-based summoning for the L24 ice skill? Yeti? Snow troll? Frost giant? Heck even a baby white dragon ;)

Heh, yea. Well, the level 24 ice skill HAS now been figured it out with some help, and it looks nice BUT that is one tab. There is an entire tab for pure sorceress summons!! So let your ideas flow on that one :P I'm open to suggestions.
O and I'll try and get a decet screeny of those little goblins in action!

Ehh, the goblins are a level 1 skill on the summoning tree, the only summons at the moment, more to follow though heh. At level 1, you get 1 little critter, at level 2 - 2 and so on until level 5 when you get the total of 5 little goblins running around in a crazed frenzy firing off magic spells.
I'll go get a screeny of them now and post it in aobut 10 minutes...heh
*runs off to D2* xEDITx *comes back with goblin screenies*
Yea!! Head on over to check out the little Goblins in action! Not the best screeny in the world but they woudn't pose :P
Anywho, in the mean time I'd LOVE ideas on other summons, their max, their skills etc. Feel free to let your imaginations run wild!

Ah the goblin shamans, cool :) Wouldn't they be more of a level 6 skill with some lowly melee monster (orcs?) as level 1? Maybe that's just me but :oops:

Personally, I'd say how about:

L1 - Orc Warrior (standard melee)
L6 - Goblin Shaman (magic attacks)
L6 - Yuan-ti Archer (% to use certain amazon arrow skills?)
L12 - Ogre, Bugbear or Minotaur (tougher melee, maybe knockback and/or crushing blow)
L12 - Beholder (powerful curse attacks, maybe some new curses?)
L18 - Greater Feyr (some kind of fear aura/warcry, and a mana version of blood golem)
L18 - Djinni (air genie so various druid wind and sorc lightning skills)
L24 - Greater Wyvern (fast flier, serious poison damage, maybe quill rat-style barb missiles)
L30 - Fire Giant (holy fire aura, serious fire damage)
L30 - Summoning Mastery (synergies for all minions, life/dmg maybe?)

If you want to keep the goblin as L1 you could always switch it with the orc warrior in the above list and have somethin like a Neo-Orog or a Frost/Ice Salamander (low holy freeze?) which are a little tougher in melee combat. For the greater wyvern, a nice blue/white colorshift could make him into a workable "White Wyrm" with cold damage instead of poison. The beholder doesn't just have to use curses as some form of actual missiles might be nice too.

Just some starting thoughts anyway ;)

Ladies and gentle-ladies...er men, bah same thing (:P), my entire summons tab planned by PH in about 15 seconds....*round of applause*
Ehh, that's actually a really good line up, however, I'd wanna cut back on about 2 of them to make room for passives and buffs for them.
Ehh, yea, your idea of goblin shaman at level 6 makes more sense, since it'd require more skill to grant a summoned being elemental spells then it would to simply summon a brute.

Ehh, yea it is. I've got a number of skills on it already, 5 I think. The sorceress is now split up into three tabs. The top one is melee and self-buff, the middle is assault spells and the bottom one is for the summoning spells.

Thought I'd just post the assault spells so far, and the ideas I need:
Layout: Level|(how many skills on that row)|Names

Level 1 Skills (1) - Magic Bolt
Level 6 Skills (1) - Need a magic damage spell here
Level 12 Skills (3) - Need 1 of each element - fire/cold/lightning
Level 18 Skills (1) - Need a magic damage spell here
Level 24 Skills (3) - Magma Rain, Crystallised Chaos, Power Surge
Level 30 Skills (1) - Elementalist's Skill

I still need quite a few skills heh.

- Low level nova using the succubi missiles. ("Energy Pulse")

Level 12 Skills (3)
- Fire-base version of chain lightning using the firewall animation. ("Conflagration")
- Nova using the druid shockwave dealing lightning and physical damage. ("Thunderclap")
- Aura that reduces enemy cold resistance in range ("Winter's Touch")

Level 18 Skills (1)
- Either magic or spectral hit style inferno skill using the recolored diablo prismatic inferno 1 from Red Havoc's missile pack ("Subversion" or simply "Prismatic Inferno")

I know it's a bit of a lame attempt but apparently my creativity's on the blink for now sorry.

I'm liking some of those ideas :) The only one I'm frowning at is the aura heh, that kinda thing would go on the melee/buff tab :P But I still like the other ideas

Well if you're not up for the aura, how about a curse version of the same thing? Kind of like a high end amplify damage but for just cold damage.

Hmmm. Yea it would work, and would be very helpful...I'll look into, see if I can decent cast and 'on' animations for something along that line. Hwh, never know, might fall in love with it. :) Just keep the ideas coming in yea :D We'll get something sorted out eventually ;)

I have an idea to throw in. A skill that will convert one of your pets into an elemental form. Either a version for each element, or one that is random. I'm not sure if it would take allot of overlay work or not, but I thought share the idea. Not sure of level either. :mrgreen:

Hmm, do you mean a skill that you cast on a pet that changes it into an elemental being? If that's right, then I'm liking it...Not sure how much work it'd involve though, and if I do put it in it'd be a level 30 skill. If I can't do that, then I'm definately going to have an elemental as a summon.
What I was hoping from beginning was for the sorceress to have a ball of fire flying around it :D

Use enchant spell, fiddle with aura filter until it only can target your pets, not players or hirelings.
And have it apply a state change that changes graphics of monster into another monster (and have a spare elemental monster handy)
IE. Use the state the same way that runeword does in vannila that changes you into a fetish.

Then add the bonuses you want to add in exchange for the fire damage that enchant usually adds.

If its an ice elemental enchantment it could add.
+cold damage
+cold res
Cannot be frozen
+High def

If its fire:
+fire dmg
+fire res
+High regen
+faster run/walk

If lightning:
+lighnting damage
+lightning res
+faster attack speed
+High AR

Why not just add an Elemental overlay, and change the creature's color to that element's color...? :mrgreen:

If you're planning to put Goblin as Sorceress' skill, try to give it interesting spells, which isn't done in Vanilla at all. I'd like to see some spells like necro's curses, or some skills "cast and it will work" - like bone armor, thunder storm, chilling armor. It would be nice sommon. Keep it in mind!

Ok I'll keep that in mind! I was going to try and make each skill unique, no one wants to see the old ones anymore! If they're not completely new they'll at least have a new appearance!

Yes. I like your point of view. It's same as mine. I prefer to have everything "fresh", and the best proof is that, I have done many string changes in my mod, even for "stupid" healing potion ;)

Another thing: make usefull skills, that would be different, try to make more skills that don't do damage, and aren't elemental damage enchanted. The things, which in Vanilla were not enough for me were interesting curses, passives (but don't do like Blizzard did: Sword Mastery, Axe Mastery, Polearm Mastery, Blablabla Mastery, Xaxaxa mastery...) better think about interesting, innovatory skills. That would please many people :D. I can give a little of ideas. You have many helpful fans too ;) Keep working on mod! It sounds quite good, and look unique! :cool: Greetings!

Yea cool! :) I'd love some skill ideas! Really short at the mo heh...I am trying for a variation, not just 30 skills of damaging spells that suck cause you run out of ideas, I'm trying to give each a class a bit of something so you can vary what you are. Like in vanilla you HAD to go necro of if you wanted an army, I plan to make it so you have at least one other char to choose from that you can do that with. All chars will have at least one summon :)

Post any ideas here! I'm bored and wanna do an assault spell! Lol

Ok here's the deal. I'm working on the melee/self buff tab thing at the mo, and REALLY need ideas. I have made two skills already (Vulcan's Rage and Inferno Kick (check out screenshots section of this forum for more info)) but am now stuck!
