As for a replacement to fire claws, I can offer a few random possibly stupid suggestions.

The most obvious - Fire Fury, but the bear form should be able to use it unlike regular fury, might make more people be a bear this way, but since bears are so powerful, fire fury shouldn't be too fast I suppose.

A multi-hitting attack like zeal that leaves small fissures under the monsters causing some fire damage.

Fire whirlwind.... :-|

Or you could just have a charge skill that everytime he hits something a boulder builds up on top of his head, then when it's maxed, the firey molten boulder is hurled into a group of monsters and destroys them all like meteor, HAHAHAHA... ehh... probably not.

Anyway... those are my poor attempts at skills for the time being.

Give yourself more credit Crazy, I like alot of your ideas so far in this thread,
and I think i'm going to try something along the lines of whirlwind for Werebear.

Inquisition for Paladin working perfectly, I'm so happy. Can't wait to show off some of the melee skills i'm working on.
I'm still in that stage where i'm so amazed I have my own mod and thats its actually coming together.

Unless you guys find any bugs, everything is looking good.

The following skills were identified either here or via emails as problematic or just plain needing improvement, and will be adjusted for next version:
Armageddon (improve mechanics)
Unholy Shadow (damage/display)
Poltergeist (graphic)
Fire Claws (boring, upgrade)
Ice Wall (scrap, redesign new skill??? any suggestions?)
Poison Mastery (add poison resistance)
Ice Bolt (to strong, remove freeze)

Also some renaming of skills will take place (druid summons, etc...)

I would like some feedback on the skills descriptions, meaning the damage display and so on in the skill tree, is everything displaying nicely, any confusion? I tries my best to add as much informatuions as possible, if you've seen summon mastery you see how crowded that gets ;)

Well as far as I can tell the descriptions and damage display is all fine. As for ice wall... I like the idea, but probably should be replaced with another spell. A few ideas:

Ice Enchant - Everyone likes cold damage, this being a higer level skill could also add some freezing ability on weapons, but if playing alone would be mostly useless, or you could try to be a melee sorceress...

Ice Frenzy/Icicle Frenzy - Fire rapid icicles at a group of enemies causing large damage.

Chain Ic... oh wait.

Ice Storm - Like lightning storm but instead calls down ice bolts?

Well, that's all I got right now.

Ice storm? You mean blizzard, hehe.
Hmm I'm not sure of any functions that allow quick multiple casts of a missile, but i like the icicle frenzy idea, i'll see if I can figure out something like that. Maybe use a modified strafe, hmm...now you got me thinking...thanks.

EDIT:
Unfortuantely auras are hardcoded to only work on right side, I can have them on left side, but they are not in effect when I do this.
To make up for this all skills will be available on left side to use, but unfortunately I can't allow a walking 2 aura paladin exist in my mod.

I am sticking with Ice Wall as i sepnt all day saturday trying to create a new spell, and it all ended in accomplishing nothing, and I'd rather keep going on as I have lots to do still.

Since Paladin is already done, I would like to know if:
a) release skills preview #2 now that a new class is done.
b) wait until 2 classes are done for another preview.
c) no more previews just finish everything up so we can have a full mod release

I haven't a clue... I'm torn between another 2 class preview, or no preview. It's up to you.

I'll probably release a new preview after barb skills, as the bug fixing is a good thing.

Okay a few things, first off how did no one notice that the sorc spell electricity field was bugged, was listed as a level 24 spell even though in lv6 slot. Of well the power leveling in the preview probably caused that.

Okay the rest of the changes I'll put over in skills thread wher they belong.

Maybe someone can help me think up named for some new skills:
I need a name for a barbarian cold melee attack, might be area of effect.
Also need names for a two-weapon attack that allows barbarian to parry and reflect damage.
And last I need a name to change armageddon to, the version that barbs get atleast, which is pretty similar.

Frost Melee attack... hmm, can't think of anything offhand...

Parry/reflect damage hmm..I'd say steelsong or something, but we are talking about barbarians

The armageddon one is easy.. Ancient's Wrath
I mean, why not?

Ancient's Wrath it is....I was tryin to use the word 'ancient's' for something, read my mind you did.

Steelsong hmm...my ideas also keep coming back to song...dance..
I think I have bladesingers on the mind.
Okay I just googled, and came up with
Pyrrhic Dance - ritual sword dance, from scotland.

Can't think of a good cold attack name still.

Well as for another skills preview with just one character, I say why not. It would make more sense to wait for 2 characters, but I'm pretty interested in seeing the new skills on the Paladin.

The barbarian attack name, I guess it would depend on what it does, I suppose I could offer a few random suggestions.

Frozen Edge
Frigid Fury
Glacius' Revenge
Glacier Strike
Frostbitten Blade
and... no that's all.

Oh wait... how about Chilled Chaos yay!

I am undecoded hehe, but i still have to make the skill so i'll decide in the end.

While i'm on it I am going to rename alot of skills just to give the mod a new flavor, so if you have any new names for old skills that are still in the game, feel free to share.

Ohh, I like Solar flare, but i think i want to use this for flamethrower (been wanting to rename this forever).
Dance of lights, I might change to dancing lights, I like that also.
Good charged bolt and flamethrower were the two skills I couldnt come up with a name, now I am have all sorc and paladin skills renamed. I'm pretty happy with them. (was busy making up names lat night, while watching the hated Yankees win on TV)

Ack forgot, still haven't figured out a new name for shiver armor,
my first thought was glacial armor, but not liking that.

I might go with northern winds also, especially cause im gonna try and change graphics for this spell.
GOing to tackle Druid and Necro spells tonight, so feel free to help me out with this :)
Already got the 3 druid summons renamed:
Call of the spirits (spirit wolves)
Call of the wilderness (dire wolves)
Call of the ancients (grizzly bear)

Also some last minutes changes ;)
To replace armageddon, druids are going to get meteor and i'm going to create a new skill for fire sorcs, haven't had any brilliant ideas yet.
But has to be a major damaging fire spell.

Hmm, i had an idea that might make a good fire "BIG SPELL" if possible,
1. look at poison nova, change to fire.
2. have spell be cast on area instead of from self.
3. Have it go in reverse.

Not a bad idea at all, unfortuantely not sure if i can pull it off going backwards, but I will see what I am able to pull off.
Thanks for the idea though.

I do have a skill rdy for asn that is a nova that starts where you click and not start from self.

So i cna build on that!

Well, the problem with most fire novas that I've seen is that they lag up the game...

The reason for the lag is the intensive graphic display.
Fire has the problem of being large dcc files as they have large amoutns of frames to display, but i'm smart enough to find graphics that aren't as large to create things like novas.
Don't worry no mod is complete without a fire nova...
hehe

Somehow, I had a neat idea for that... Immolation
Fist of heavens, being a fire based spell, and also leaves a nice big fire explosion when it slams down and launches the fireball ring outwards.
