Maybe there's somebody else in your office that's in the channel? :)

Kingpin, is there an option to allow ips, or a special IP section? Something like that?

#thoc channel has been renamed to #dom and the changes are added to web irc and have also added gamesurge.net as possible server to join.

I think there are an option for that. I will look at that later today probably :)

Maybe you closed the cgi window without exiting it? Then it still considers you connected?

PM me your IP and I can add unlimited access for you :)

EDIT:
You wasn't alone with the problem, so its unlimited access for everyone. The problem seems to be related to proxy servers.

Gamesurge has a connection limit of 5 for any given hostmask.
Which will eventually lead to a ban of ~cgiirc@dynamic6.gamespy.com (The CGI script hostmask)

If this happens, there's nothing I can do. It will say you've been g-lined.

I am requesting a connection limit increase, but they say they aren't accepting Trust Applications yet, I will continue to try.

Sorry for the inconvienence.

Now we have an additional web irc client up and running.

Java irc client. To be able to use this client you will need to allow Java Applets. Now in the beginning probably several of you it wouldn't work for, we will try to solve the problems that will come up. If it doesn't work for you, use our other web irc client.

Updated the channel listing in the first post. Also, included commands for the trivia and uno bot :)

Yes.... UNO...... :D

And.... just a reminder to new people that this channel is here ;P

Because gamesurge sucks... I'm tyring to get a channel on Quakenet, then put a relay bot between the two servers. ANYWAY... I need a little help registering on Quakenet. I basicly need 4 more people to be in the channel, to prove people actually want to have the channel :)
If you have time.....
irc.quakenet.org - #phrozen-keep

Thanks

Quakenet channel is all set up. I would like everyone to change to quakenet, but because I know some people won't want to.... I am tyring to set up a relay bot between the networks. But for now, please change your join scripts to Quakenet.

The topic has information on how to authenticate on Quakenet.

There is now a relay bot between the networks. Join whichever network you prefer, or is stable and up at the moment :)

To find out who is on the other network, type

If you're on Quakenet, to find out who is on Gamesurge

Code: Select all

!whois Gamesurge
If you're on Gamesurge, to find out who is on Quakenet

!whois Quakenet

No problems here and many of the regulars are there too, so it must be something on your end.

Seems this is still the issue, as I just got booted from chat via g-line...guess there was no luck in getting the limit increased?

Long-awaited update.

No, there is no fix for the g-line issue of CGI. They will not increase the limit. But since we rarely run into that issue, it will just have to be dealt with sadly.

I am trying to find a more stable way to have a relaybot between Quakenet and Gamesurge, if people stillrefuse to use Gamesurge and demand Quakenet, otherwise Gamesurge will be the only network supported.
Gamesurge is back to being very stable, and I will not move to Quakenet completely.

Totally shameless bump to remind older members, and inform newer members of this :)
