Did the things you discovered that work in the beta include rigging the gamble screen to always sell stuff for gamble just a little bit more than you could afford? Ok, I don't think even you could be *that* diabolical . I do, however, think your items sell for MANY magnitudes lower than they ought to. The mere fact that so far only rare polearms and amulets make back the price of an identify scroll leads me to believe that you ought to have just made the mod an ironman, if you really intended things to have that low of a sell value. Even on players 8 I couldn't make 1,000 gold simply running around and looting chests in the blood moor! I mean, honestly--a chipped gem only worth 8 gp?

I like the mod a lot, but I fear I may have to fiddle with sell values if I'm going to get far enough and retain my full head of hair.

Remember D1? It was like that EARLY ON too. Wait till you get to act 2.

It's just a way to make an otherwise boring Act a little bit interesting.

Actually I didn't play D1 very much. I still acted like a girl back then . Then I had to go and marry a computer programmer... But yeah I remember how poor I was. Actually, if you're implying that gold 'happens' a lot more the farther on the mod goes, then I must commend you on your vision! It's supposed to suck to be you when you're just starting out on a campaign...

I have to tell you, I really think you're a genius with these things--not only good at coming up with neat ideas, but they're truly exciting, interesting, and unique (and not unique in the D2 way, as in more common than common things are, lol) things.

I put like every other point into Gold Find (to at slevel 5) and by the time I hit the Stony Field I have plenty of gold for repairs and the occasional gamble.
