The Mistral Keep

Post by kingpin » Wed Feb 20, 2008 1:54 pm

The Mistral Keep is one of the two end dungeons in first chapter and is located below the cursed church in a village in The Badlands.

The Mistral Keep is focused on give the players a challenge with interesting boss fights and aswell show abit of what to expect in future. While first chapter doesn't include any bosses with complete new ai. you can still make the boss fights interesting by use the most flexibles ai's that blizz coded.

You will find further on in later chapters story focused and progress dungeons.

Kingpin, maybe some short 30-sec. video? There is only one that we can watch so far, but I think it wouldn't be a problem to record another one?

Unless recording a video in Diablo 2 could be potentially troubling I'd rather have the mod then a video of the mod.

and breaks of some months are just "we were developing since project start" ;)
But that Dungeon sounds nice. Why did you decided to just put 2 Dungeons into Chapter 1 and not more?

There is alot new dungeons in first chapter actually. This is just one of two end dungeons for first chapter.

Just because nothing been posted in periods on forum. Doesn't mean we haven't been develope/test all time.

Looking forward to it! I really like the name...very apt for a cold keep...

GB

P.S. Believe it or not, we have the same 'Mistral' weather in the spring and fall when the wind blows from the northeast off of the Atlantic Ocean...

A premilinary release info was added a few days in Info about Preview Version and I'm working hard to keep it within that time :)

Thnx :)

To bad game-engine doesn't support that kind of weather to well. Would loved to see a partial water map with that kind of weather.

EDIT:

28/4: Two screenshots added. One that shows one of the set items you can find inside the dungeon and the other a new the mistral keep rune.

Hi Kingpin,

Hope the beta testing is going well. I am slogging away slowly on my 'kitchen sink' mod. I just wish we could go over 255 levels in levels.txt with some stability... :( I am at 230 right now. I would like to TRY to do a WoW size world with more levels and worldspace...

This part is in the preview version. This is the end dungeon of first chapter :)

So, you have access to this already in preview version.
