Not been many posts here lately. Anyway, the progress on the mod has slowed, and link is the only one really working currently. I hope to get back into modding D2 soon though.

In other news...

I have decided to change the Barb into a Monk, who will have monk-only weapons such as claws and bracers. He must be using those class-specific items or his fists to do his combat skills. Comments on this?

hm maybe the paladin would be better for the monk class... or how do you think whirlwind would work without some long weapons? But the idea is nice :)

Heh. My CD sorc will be nothing compared to the TFT sorc ;). I've finished up pally and sorc. Next is necro, then barb or druid prolly.

Today, I was thinking of new elemental skills. However, they will be named after colors.

Ex.

Red: (Cast fire spell). Maybe shoots multiple fire missiles.

White: (Cast holy/healing spell). Maybe heals self and animal companions.

I'm going to keep the color idea, but the skills written here aren't in stone. Actually, the red is most likely to change.

Comments? ;)

I'm not a big fan of skills named after colors, but just so long as you don't have a skill called Pink I guess it will be alright.

You could have Blue be a skill that summons a massive title wave to crush your enemies. I mean, it would be kind of impracticle since most areas aren't by water, but it would still be pretty cool.

Pink: Summons a lvl -1 Rattlecage that fights against you instead of helps you.

...

j/k. ;)

Done with a tab for Necro's today. Poison and Bone skills have been changed to Dark Magic. :)

Peace,

Long time no post :). Been busy with real life, and took a break from modding. Well, once again, I'm back into it! But I've come up with an idea that I'd like to get a response on if its good or not...

Shrine of Classes

Changes character's class for a period of time.

The character will lose his current skills, but gain new skills of the same level from the class he is transformed into. Does this sound alright? Also, stats will be changed some too...

And for those of you that want screenies, well, here ya go... But only three right now ;).

Shadowflare
Shadowblaze
Impurity

Enjoy!

Now that's kind of a neat idea, but then we get into the discussion again about a man turning to a woman like we did a while back when talking about a druid turning into Bloodraven. ;)

Actually, that is kind of a cool idea. That way, would you be able to use other class's class specific items?

Wow! I like the new skills. You seem to have a nack for it.

New concept alert!

Here we go:

I'm thinking of making all unique weapons "sealed". And after you find a special item or do a certain task, that item becomes "unsealed". This will increase its power, at max doubling it. The item will gain more abilities, but the item required to "unseal" it will not be very common.

Comments?

I think it could be quite cool, the unique item is generated in the cube to unseal it? :)

That would be correct. I could also do something like a requirement of kills with a certain weapon, if possible. EX. You need to kill 500 monsters WITH the Grandfather blade to unseal it.

Well I think this is a very very nice idea :) just take the idea of the necro staff suicide branch and make the unsealing quest for it dying 3 times or something  Well I hope your mod will be released soon, i loved CD and ladder gets boring... :x

Those new potion type things look pritty cool. On a different note, when do you thing this mod will be finished?
Taken from this plane of existence into the Realm of Fire the Phoenix has once again risen from the ashes to rule again. As the most powerful creature of the Conflux town the Phoenix serves the Lords of Fire in order to rid the world of the Demons. Now able to withstand the elemental flames the Phoenix is a more powerful and dangerous opponent to the forces of evil.

Wow CD! I'm really impressed! I can't wait till your mod comes out!

Anyway, about the sealing thing, I was actually planning to do something like that in my mod, except where the item would be "locked" with a special magical lock that could only be opened when cubed with a special key.

Keep up the good work!

Hey all! I've been adding tons of new items to misc.txt lately, so dont think im slacking ;). I've come up with an idea, and I'd like to know what you think. a charm that makes it so when you die, it plays a sorta game over music song. What do you think? You couldnt sell the charm, and if you didnt want to hear the noise you could just put it in your stash. the charm would look like this:

Game Over Music Charm
100% chance to cast Game Over Music when killed.

Good idea?

Comments?

Off to shovel,

I think this idea sounds funny :) But I really hope you use the music from Super Mario, you know, the one from good ol' game boy times, the very first one, when you jumped into that damn hole again :) dammdammderamdamm - diedamm something like that

this would be so very very entertaining... I would die on purpose just to hear that music

You should see if you can get the gameover music from War2 :D
