Cant install

I cant get the mod to work. After puting in the DLL's and the data folder it says to add -direct-txt to my target in my shortcut, I do this and it says it's not valid. So I go into a game to see if I can go on without this, but all the sorcy skills are the same though the inventory sizes were bigger. Please help soon I want to play the mod!! Also if somehow I missed something and im a complete idiot please dont flame me too badly

if you have wrote this -direct-txt i can see what it doesn't work. It should be a space between -direct -txt.

make sure the data folder is in your diablo II folder .

I did both of these things and niether worked.

Here is exactly what it says after adding -direct -txt to the target line, the name "'C:\ProgramFiles\DiabloII\diablo.exe"-direct' specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the path and filename are correct. As im typing this im sure its something dumb im doing. So ill play around with it a bit more, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

A correct one could look like this. it's important that you have space between "" -direct -txt -w.

Target: "C:\Games\Diablo II Betamodtest\diablo ii.exe" -direct -txt -w

Start In: "C:\Games\Diablo II Betamodtest\mods\Corrupted Death"

Here is what mine says.

Target: "C:\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -direct -txt

Start In: "C:\Diablo II"

that should do it. tell me if you still have problems.

Ok I got it working now. Thanks for all of the help. Not surprising to me but it was something dumb on my part, I was putting a space between -direct and -txt but i wasn't putting one before -direct.

for some weird reson i downloaded the mod, and replaced the d2 files with the modded files, but the game still plays regular d2. what di i do wrong?

are their skill changes in the current version (the first time i lookd at the skills which are the same, then i went out and started fighting, and i got to lvl 2 in 4 kills)

there are skill changes for only the sorceress so far. once 1.10 comes out there will be masive skill changing for all classes.

i still dont see skill changes, even for sorc what did i do wrong? i put all the currupted death files into the d2 folder (ecept readme and patch fixes) vwhat i do wrong???

Do you see a d2game.dll, d2common.dll, and a d2client.dll.

If not then you you need to set your file view up to show system files.

And if your putting this directly into your diablo folder then remember to copy the above files to a backup folder.

i did put the modded files into the d2 folder, and i did put the unmodded files in a backup folder

Just need to worry bout the top half of this tutorial since you copied the mod into your Diablo directory.
