hmmm, i look at these and notice that they require a ton of code editing. I am thinking about changing some of these skills to ones just done by .txt editing. (Don't worry, they will still be great. ;) )

Alkalund, do you know if patch 1.10 will make the above skills any easier? :-|

edit: Heard from Alkalund that I should be able to do these skills much easier, and maybe without code editing :jump: :jump:!

Just don't expect to be able to make all of them work. Super Revive and Spirit Remover are something we can't do currently even with Code Editing. But as a whole, much of your skills consist of edited missiles, that should be editable more easily in 1.10 from what we know.

but what do we really know? i mean what when was 1.10 expected? c'mon seriously you think that blizzard is really going todo it, there is next to no errors is d2/lod at all anymore, no need to fix whats not broken... and its probably a 90% chance if they did it would be to make it HARDER to mod, afterall it is there game, they dont want people changing it... this is just what i figure...

Now ofcorse i wish that blizzard would release it making it much easier to mod, but then again it might take the frustration out of it :P we all need that... jk

This is not true. If you have read 1.10 thread in GMM you would see that blizzard care about modding ;)

Othervise the skill idea is looking great. Hope you can do the most.

I would not speak of such things out of nowhere... You might want to follow this link for a pleasant surprise:

See, Blizzard (or at least someone at Blizzard) does care about modding ;)

NOTE: Just a reminder, remember that these are only SOME of the skills that will be changed for the classes. Many more will be changed for each class, but not listed until the patch with their skills comes out.

edit: Came up with two new ideas for assassin skills, but I can only pick 1. Tell me which one sounds better to you. They are both traps.

Heart of Death - A trap that shoots out walking skeletons in all directions that do damage to your enemies.

Fountain of Blood - A trap that shoots bolts of blood missiles in all directions.

Take your pick  .

It really depends on how you get each to work. Fountain of Blood sounds pretty cool to me. I'm not quite sure how blood damages enemies, but if you had some reason, it would be cool.

Fountain Of Blood sounds pretty cool, although i think i can give a better name..Gore Missile, but that sounds more like a spell instead of a trap...

what would be cool is if you put the skeletons walk out and when they hit explode with blood... of corse it would be blood from the enemies...
and call it:
Skeletonal Gore... or something else if you can think of better...

maybe.. but then I would have to add a collision effect which would require code editing. Unless, of course, patch 1.10 allows us to change this too!

aww, we can do a tiny bit of code editing... just follow the tutorial exactly and back up the files your changing so that if it totally messes up you can change it back really easy and try again...

A druid turning into Blood Raven??? Now that's kind of strange. A man turning into a woman. 8-O He's gonna have to pack some panties and a bra into his inventory for the switch!

Personally I think it would be cool if the dru could turn into one of those knights from D1.

If I ever make a mod, my druid will turn into a redneck that wears overalls, carries a shotgun, and his name will be "Billy Bob." Now hows THAT for a transformation?

Blood Raven not a woman! What has the world come too???

This is kind of off topic, but I like the corrupt Rogues so much, that with my lvl 85 dru on Bnet, I'll just go into nightmare and go look for rogues, and then let them beat me up so that I can stare at them. 8-O One time, me and a friend were playing, and I had 15 of them around me! I let them stay long enough that my dru's health orb was almost empty... and he still had over 300 hp!

You know, Rattlecage, Ancients the Fury Within mod has the Rogue hirelings replaced by the graphics for the corrupt rogue archer, I think. So that can be done. Maybe if you ask nicely, you could see if the graphics change could be implemented in this mod...

Just my point of view: what good would turning into Nihilathak do for the Druid? I mean, Nihil is a necro, and if you want to play as a necro, then do it. You don't need to shape change for it!
