well i wouldn't mind in all honesty, i've started from 0 so many times one more time wouldn't be an issue for me at least =)

as i've already started my ama, i'd have to think a bit about what i want to make... kind of in doubt between
1)sorc; i'm just worried it'll become an enchantress with ES/SA by time i get to hell due to lack of spells that still do something.
2)Paladin: my favorite class but quite gear dependant in general, not quite sure how we'll he'd run without any stuff.
3)Barb: well i LOVED my iron man in nearly every mod, its pretty much unkillable with proper resists,hp,DR.
4)Druid: tho i'm not fund of going wolf so i guess i'll keep that till i have some better gear available.

I think i'll pick depending on what sort of class your planning to make, so we don't need the same kind of gear for the first 100 levels or so at least.

Tho i hope you hate A3(start till travincal) as much as i do so we can rush through there in one big sweep :P

anyway i'll pm you my hotmail(or skype/xfire if you'd favor)

I will be doing a sorc! So I guess a barb would do well as the opposite. I have gmail, so what is this xfire thing? It sounds much more convenient.

It'll be interesting to see how things go at level 5 with only find potion, firebolt, and attack.

Edit: Yes I hate everything about act 3 except Mephisto. I don't think it'd be fun farming forever for Zy runes so I say we only make 2 requiems ( first goes to you as you will be in melee range ) and go to act 4. 2 requiems is enough for the Killing Grounds and we can level far there before making another artifact.

I'd like to try multiplayer as well. I can't host though since [technical talk]I'm using linux and having figured out how to open ports using Wine and a router. [/technical talk]

What times can you guys normally play?

You want to be an amazon? To make it balanced we need a caster, a ranger, and a warrior.

Of course that means that we have to make 3 requiems and I get mine last......

Although getting the diadem will be quick as we have 3 people gambling.

As for time, what time zone are you in? More specifically, what state, as if you're closer we get better connection.

I'm in Pennsylvania in the Eastern Time Zone.

blaat I think you only need to setup your router with the ports. I suggest going to Port Forward to find out on how to.

Ah thanks, will look into that one and also hope that it won't make problems with the other 7 users of the router :)

I'm in CE(S)T, Central European Timezone, roughly 6 hours from you, but I don't mind playing late in the evening :)

Well, I have school, and kickboxing classes on Monday and Thursday. So I can pretty much only play on Weekends. I also go out on weekends so is 2pm my time good with you? I assume you're 6 hours ahead, since if behind I can play at night.

that would make 8 pm here. Sounds okay, but depends on how my weekend is filled :) I'm old enough to go out and stuff, visiting friends, etc. But I guess I can join sometimes :)

I think if we can manage to get through the first few levels we should be fine... that'll be the hard part.. anyway

Xfire is a program which is sorta like msn with some additional features for gamers, it shows you how long you've played a game lifetime/7 days. it also shows everyone in your friendlist which game you are playing if any aswell as the server so its easy to join them, tho i don't think it works for diablo, its also low memory useage =)

http://www.xfire.com/downloads/ <- link for download

timezone: i'm from europe so i'm cet+1 tho i play late evenings/nights so i stay in my workrythm.Sometimes i'm online every day for several hours and sometimes i'm gone for a few weeks so i won't be able to play then(its still a few months away so guess that ain't for the near future, figured i'd mention it either way)

@blaat: what class u want to play? as barb isn't really set in stone for me or anything... I could possibly go to a more utility role(auras from paladin, druids oak(s)/summons to tank/etc)

edit: disregard my pm about starting tomorrow unless u guys are up for that, didn't read this thread yet so we'll just start this weekend then i assume?

I'm fine with that. So we can all play at 2 P.M on the weekends? ( my time of course ) Okay so to be clear with the times....

I'm at: 2:00 P.M.
Blaat is: 8:00 P.M

He's from europe, just like me, I don't know for sure though if that is 8 or 9 PM ;)

Anyway, I prefer being an:

Amazon
Sorceress
Barbarian

And I'd rather not be these, but I can play one, but expect me to suck since I'm not used to playing them a lot:
Druid(I hate the 0 life bug, for the rest they're pretty okay actually)
Necro(pretty okay in the beginning, but sucky after a while)
Paladin (not used playing these)
Assassin (not used playing these)

Amazon is easy, just put as much as you can in Valkyrie, Multi-shot, critical strike, and that thing that pierces your attack. Max multi first though. If you max multi I have an idea.

We get you a Ctc confuse ring and we go in the WoW ( or whichever one is in Arreat Platue ) have you spam multishot and have the Chimeras kill everything to level. If we die, leave. I say that once we get our requiems we can do this at level 200 or anywhere below the recommended level of 500.

Well if he has me then he won't really need the valk too much i'd hope... wether its as barb or paladin(haven't decided yet, i could turn both into pretty decent tanks with some support(bo/shout vs aura(s) especially with an ama there it'd be quite interesting to go for auras i'd say.

I agree with most of the other stuff tho u only max multi first if u have plenty of skills(crit strike @ 95%) and enough mana leach or u'll be popping potions the entire time like i did 2 days ago ^_-

An even better idea would be to do it like this, i tried this earlier today and it went incredibly smooth(the one in arreat)

i went to clear more then half of it at lvl 122!(no i'm not joking), it went smooth with 0 risk at dying and could explain how i did it into more detail if wanted
.
Basicly i spammed multishot with 2 ctc hydra rings, i was constantly leveling and shooting at directions where i knew where mobs(i could tell from mana leach,if i wasn't hitting anything my mana wouldn't replenish itself)
did the same in cow level.I had 95% chance to crit,piercing/prevent monster heal, 2x10% lvl 30 hydra rings and about 50 arrows per multishot with plenty of ML to keep me going as long as i was hitting at least 2 mobs, i had a quite high ias(my gloves alone already give me 100+ due to scrolls) which made it a fairly fast run aswell which i didn't quite expect.

I gained a TON of levels, 3-4 mobs = lvl and they went down at a decent rate with that much hydras.

My gear isn't really that impressive, i had 2 zy-el items tho(bow & diadem) aswell as a couple of nice lvl 30+runewords that i enchanted with scrolls.

Beats waiting till lvl 200+, right? =)

anyway if anyone tells me anything on msn or xfire or something i'll be there tomorrow wether its 8 or 9 xD

We'd have to wait until 200 anyway. We need to outfit us all with the proper equipment at Mephisto. Which now thinking about it, I think we would have to make these artifacts ( only 2 each of us to avoid boring Mephisto runs for 4 hours ) I assume these attempts were at p1? I'm talking about p60 or 100. We'd gain levels 20x faster. Beats getting low amounts of exp huh? :D ?

All would use requiem a no brainer

If he goes Ama ( which I completely recommend as we will already have melee and caster ) he will need Zy-El's Victory Bow ( but after level 4000 or so you go over cap with it so we'd have to get him a crafted bow eventually. )

For me I'd want Zy-El's Lament

For you if barb ( please be barb! Seriously, barb would benefit us much more, and Paladins are much weaker. Plus a bald guy with a insanely huge sword scares me more than some fancy prick with a mace ) we'd get you three artifacts ( one being requiem ) as you'd be in melee range and need more stuff. We'd get you Zy-El's Vise, and Zy-El's Cleavage.

Erm well if i make a barb it'll be an ironman, meaning concentrate tank build like i said above =) none of that {filtered} ww stuff for me ^_-

a cleavage would be quite a waste as i'd be wearing a shield as i'd rather go for pride/defense anyway in the long run...Vise could wait till after i got those imo.

While cleavage is better for dmg, the defense/pride would provide survivablity which is what i'll try to cap before maximising dmg as i'll need to survive on p100 WoW runs which i doubt i will without a shield truth be told especially as we are playing untwinked, tho maybe i should wait with defense to get a marker/lament earlier for maxhp%/life on lvl and/or FHR.

attempts where at p8, i did gain about 40-50 lvls in a run that took me >1h tho.

Ah, my bad I normally use 2h barbs.

See my plan for WoW is different, hydra's fire damage is the same no matter what, while monsters in the WoW will increase life and damage with p setting. So they will kill eachother easily without too much hassle from us. We'd gain around 200 levels in half an hour provided we don't die. Considering we will it'd be an hour.

Like I said above I wouldn't mind being Ama.

You can add me on msn to discuss things in more detail. I now have to sleep since it is early morning here again.

I probably won't be here tomorrow evening because of family business :)

I'm currently lanning this mod through hamachi with a friend on our own server.

Hamachi tunnels your computers through the internet so that you can play TCP/IP games with other people, meaning that you use single player based characters, no accounts or anything of that matter. :D
