Hello,
I don't want to start a platform war, but will DD be mac-playable?
In other words will there be a .exe file, or simply a new patch to put in place?
Thanks,

Mac Playable?
Re: Mac Playable?
yes.
the mod will use .mpq format using VBS launchers....
may sound complicated but this means it will be easy to install and uninstall and playable in any os, besically the mod is played through a launcher. an example of mod which uses such method is The Fury Within.
i prolly will also release a -direct -txt version for anyone who want it, but anyway to run a mod on mac you need the .mpq which will be avaliable even before the -direct -txt one.

you sure?
that's bad, i'll have to use .bat scripts for Mac users instead
altough they're also easy to use, there are still some people who get confused with it...

Re: Mac Playable?
Hello,
Not sure about VBS scripts (or about .bat scripts: try not using those "dot" things with macs... :-), but as long as we can get the .mpq file straight (no installer, .exe or launcher whatever), we'll manage... ;-)
Since all you have to do is replace the patch file in the Diablo folder, it's no big deal...

Re: Mac Playable?
yea u should not worry
i'm almost sure the .bat files should work...
basically what they do is to automatize the RENAME PATCH_d2.mpq RENAME doomsday.npq to patch_d2.mpq and do the same with the .DLL files....
the other .bat would do the reverse process, to get back the old mpq and dll's
but if it simply does not work, then i release the .mpq version alone
