upgrading gems?
how do you upgrade gems.... i have a stash full of chipped gems and just got the cube...

gems are not upgradeable, they are used in a different way
5 Chipped Gems + 1 Amulet = Stats Amulet
5 Flawed Gems + 1 Amulet = Stats Amulet
5 Normal Gems + 1 Amulet = Stats Amulet
5 Flawless Gems + 1 Amulet = Stats Amulet
5 Perfect Gems + 1 Amulet = Stats Amulet
the better quality the higher the chance you get +all stats on a amulet up to +3 to all.

I mentioned the fact that one cannot upgrade gems about 2 days after the mod was published lol.
and yes, perfect gems can be found on hell difficulty, and they aren't rare.
