Possible to have an item value above 511?

Just wondering if there is a work around for having the 511 value max on an item?

itemstatcost.txt. can't remember which column does effect 511. may be save-bit? check kb/viewarticle?a=448
warning: it can change load bit length of save file, so pre-exist saved characters can not be loaded.
(or roll back makes it loadable)
edit: save-bit or Save Param Bits

Stacks or quantity above 511 requires a code edit to work properly.

I am thinking about elemental damage and enhanced damage in this first case but would like to explore it with defensive stats as well - cant an armor have +600 to defence? does that need a code edit?

I see some vanilla items that like enigma runeword that have armor plus 750-775 armor. How is that possible if I can't make one the same way? Even if I used two lines for the same attribute ?

Firstly, please don't double post. Secondly read the fileguide link about; it explains how stats are saved (which is what imposes the limits), the limit harvest mentioned is only for quantity.
