Mod Developement is very timeconsuming. Specially a mod like CWAT, he is not only doing some changes here and there. He is changeing everything, this means a hell of work ;)

Btw, Joel so you have a life outside mod developement? ;)

Don't worry people, it won't be an issue anymore at the next E3. ;)

Also: it took me 5 months just to get the items right, and it still isn't perfect, who knows how long it'd have taken Joel?

To continue this nice discussion, I suggest the blizzard.com forums, where you can whine in peace about things not coming out on the day no one said it would come out on.

I think what he means is if he downloads from .bnet it will crash, I know alot have had trouble downloading patches, specially the bigger ones from there. Don't see why it wouldn't work downloading and installing otherwise.

P.S. Great looking mod. :> How big will the mod be in the end?

Man, this question will finally owns its own post.
Well, currently 'm trying to reduce the beta pack to the minimal size, knowing that some optionnal multimedia pack will be available as time goes.

Basically :

Core MOD size : 159 Mb
Music pack : 98 Mb
Extra Animation pack : 35 MB
--------------------------
Total Size : 292 Mb

And that's ONLY for the first chapter (aka act1-5)
Each subsequent chapter will be downloadable in an extra pack that will be around 100mb each.

So the total final size is estimated to 500Mb or so.

Wow, that's pretty big, but i'll be sure to get it all.
And I hope you get this mod just the way you want it, it's looking so awsome!

The issue of patches crashing is not only in downloading from B.net...
For instance, I have a pirate version of D2 and no money for a licenced, so I need a no-cd crack for every new patch released...
Joel, your mod is GREAT!!! I just can't wait to see it... Can I help beta testing it, no matter the size?

theres no way this can possibly be forum legal

I'm not discussing, I'm complaining...
And it's not a cheat or hack, and I do not go B.net, 'cause I have no internet at home...
It's just a way to get a great game for those who have no money...
