Heh, X by Clamp? That's been around since '99 :) I've got it too and yes it's GOOD.... Maybe there's another new one called X? There's a thread on anime/anime reviews in the OT forum, here's the link. (I was bored that time when I replied)

-~-~-

I have ascertained the following to be true.

1) When the semestral exams are but a week away, students will be put under stress, regardless of whether they admit it.
2) Students under stress will do crazy things.
3) Buying new computer parts is considered crazy.
4) Assembling them overnight is quite crazy (^^)
5) But the ultimate measure of insanity... has to be... installing Neverwinter Nights and Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo on a newly assembled computer...

Let us not forgot that the exams are less than a week away now.

Gah...

Anyway my new com stats :D
P4 2.4B GHz, 256 DDR RAM
ABit Siluro 128 MB Geforce 3 Ti200
SB Live

now that's a far cry from :P
P3 733 MHz, 512 SDRAM
3dfx 32MB Voodoo 5 5500
Creative Vibra

I'm just happy that I assembled it and it's working (and NWN and UT2K3 are working too~~~ yo Subby it's working ~~~)

(erm. what happened to studying...... eek)

The band that plays the theme song for X, X-Japan, is good. Anyone heard it?

yea I personally wouldn't mind more :) (who would huh?) but I was working with a budget so I settled for what I could get. UT2k3 is good..... 'gibber'gibber'. I haven't studied in 3 days since I installed NWN.... not good.

6 is obviously not our number, so when Subby has finished his exams (I believe it's 26 Nov) we can redo many things and work directly on 1.07. We think we've learnt quite a bit since when we first started so many things can be done now and done right once and for all.

Pray that Blizz gets the hint and finishes 1.10 so we can work directly on that. I'd like to have the dlls working in the new version instead of having to code it once for 1.09b and have all the problem with playing online because the dlls don't match up.

And that the 1.10 addresses the many many many problems with 1.09d

And that everyone who sat for the HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Materials Science paper I sat for today doesn't do too well so that the average grade won't be above mine. I need to pass it, and after my very bad showing today, that is still hanging in an unstable balance.

Suffice to say when you study calculations and formulae and they come out a question paper almost entirely on theory, you tend to lose hope of any A grade and start praying for a low C.

Please help me with Baldurs Gate German version!

Post by Folken » Sun Oct 27, 2002 3:20 pm

Hello!
Please help me, I just bought Baldurs Gate II&ToB. I use Win XP, I think that's why the game is shaky and blurred when I start a new game. Does anybody know how to solve this Problem?

Sorry for bothering I know that this is a Diablo2ModForum

in German:
Hallo!

THX!

sounds like a problem with DirectX, but I'm no expert on the topic. Check if you've got the latest version installed - should be DirectX 8.1 . Also see if your video settings/resolution are/is too high. I recall that I couldn't use OpenGL (or was it Glide) on my 32MB Voodoo 5 for IWD and BG2. Perhaps it's a vidcard incompatibility? A lot of question marks coz I'm not too well versed on this subj.

hey that's good news :) Glad you got it working~! Another 5 days before I can play NWN with reckless abandon. Now I have to fight the occasional guilt trip that says I ought to be studying. :p

NWN is a really good game. Too bad that you can get only level 20 in it...

I bet someone will come up with an (unofficial) add-on to 'help' you get more levels. Am playing a Halfling (pure) Rogue. I find it quite hard to play multiclass in 3rd Ed. You just don't seem to get enough exp to go around. And how can anyone play without a Rogue in the party (consider there's only two ppl, therefore either I'm the Rogue or I get the Rogue henchman) Now I'm playing without hired help (solo Rogue :D) and still alive tho some battles are quite terrible. But with +10 as an Attack Modifier, I've been surviving ok :)

Nah... get a good familiar. One that sees traps. Then possess him and run him over the traps. :)

What *I* think is a bit annoying in NWN is the fact that your AI allies go hostile on ya when you so much as hit them for 0 damage! I have a merc who likes to cast incendiary cloud on me, blind me with a massive casting of weird, and generally get me killed. But woe to me when I dare to hit her with one flamestrike, or worse, when they run through a blade barrier that has been standing there for 10 seconds already.

Also, beware level 20 cheaters with immunity to everything in multiplayer (deja vu?).

BTW: if you grow bored of the official campaign (like me), the best user-created modules out there (ranked #1 almost everywhere, too) are the Penultima series. Penultima normal has one starting town and 5 modules. Penultima ReRolled already has a town and 2 modules. The first module of the first campain is just hack-&-slash, but it gets better from there on. Modules 2 and 4 are great, and both of the ReRolled modules are excellent. Love that storyline. ("Pikachulhu") :)

Or you can get a familiar who can detect traps.

haven't tried any mage class yet. Probably play Sorcerer but only after I finish with the Rogue. I've a habit of starting a character, playing a short while before restarting. I'll give you one guess to figure why I haven't completed BG2.

I'd build my character, play a while, then realise there's a better option, play a while, then realise that if I played multiplayer I'd get to use all custom characters, play a while, then decide that I didn't like one of their names :!: play a while, then decide I ought to have done a specific quest first, play a while, and then decide that I'm bored of the linear gameplay because all I've done is up to the Underdark (and only with one of the above permutations)
