i got a ama-bow with +1 to all bow skills. are there any better ama-bows in this mod or should i use this one? could i use the cube formula (item + 3 perf gems -> same item, different mods)??
i'd also like to know about the other class-specific items...

Most of the original D2X cube recepies do NOT work in S_G runemod.
I think that the only ones that do work are the ones that upgrade the gems to the next level, and change arrows to bolts and vice-versa.
Also, after 10+hours of runemod, (most doing countless countess runs ), I have yet to find a bow with more than +1.

I've checked out the CubeMain.txt file, and it doesn't have such recepie, so I answered my own question. I just remembered that the recepie was only ment for magical items, so it's quite logical it's been removed.
