UltimateFixer and 1.12

Post by clongetty » Wed Aug 05, 2009 2:11 am

Hello!

I have been using antibalance for a long time now with my friends, we really enjoy it!
I am using it with 1.12 and it works really well :)
Today I've come across UltimateFixer and wanted to install it but I noticed it won't work except with 1.10.
I was wondering, would it be possible to make it compatible with 1.12?

Thank you very much for answering. Keep up the good work!

You can downgrade your d2 to 1.10 very easily, just use the search button and you will find one. You can also have multiple d2 installed in your pc with different version if you want to.

But remaking a mod to be compatible for each patch is pretty much complicated.

I'd recommend reading Myhrginoc's tutorial here:
kb/viewarticle?a=333

This should give you enough information on how to run multiple versions of d2.

Nef did a lot of CE in UltimateFixer to make it work the way it's intended to. This means he changed some 'parts' of the dlls of a specific version.
Making it compatible with 1.12 would require him to find these same 'parts' in the dlls of the new version and change them.
This takes some time and from what I've been able to observe, he doesn't really have much time lately.
