That necro ring is quite nice.

How 'bout this skiller for a 'sin. Too bad I got it with my Sorc in the random tourney. (Found scroll #27 in the Tal Rasha tomb in the room where you open the door to Duriel).

Logger_120,

I do have one Necro, but there are obviously many players who like the class more than I do such as yourself. So he's wearing it, but I don't have any plans to put any serious time or effort into his gear.

I'm currently preoccupied with the tourney characters right now, so I haven't given much thought or playtime to my twinked Assassins in a while. If I come up with something I need later, I'll let you know. Most likely whatever I need is going to be very specific in terms of rares though...crazy things like +12 Killer Scythe and 12% CtC Chilling Armor when Struck gloves...and that example is a maybe since its just a little better than her current ones.

Hey guys. I been playing ES about 2 weeks. Here are the best rares I've found yet:

Barb helm:
album_page.php?pic_id=1945

Java gloves:
album_page.php?pic_id=1947

I made the barb helm a merc helm. With all forging, it should add about +10 to BO on my merc.

Hey guys! Sorry to post after myself, but just crafted a nice bow:

I think I'm going to waste the time DStoning it to get it to some serious damage for a good bowazon.

In situations like this, you can edit into your previous post if the content is similar. If the two posts would be radically different in content I generally prefer making a new post.

Nice bow, I hope you're planning to base upgrade it in the future.

I hadn't even thought of editing! I just upgraded it. It's like 121-701 base dmg I believe. I'm just going to dread the time it'll take to farm dstones and maple leafs to get it to be a serious bow. I think it can be at 1500+ ed with jewels and dstoning. Doesn't that sound right? That will cost a lot of dstones though.

Nope. You are capped at 900% for the bow and then separately for the sockets. I haven't actually hit 900% on one item to be certain, but I've hit 899% (a Maple Leaf isn't worth that last 1%).

The best you can further enhance jewels is another 10%, so I think an exceptionally good rare jewel may be able to get to 75% ED after forging. Otherwise magic jewels can come with up to 60%ED, so 70%ED tops from those.

900%ED plus 2 jewels...you can break the 1000 mark but can't get much further than that.

Oh, I see. I thought it was 900+ the base that the item had. I thought that 40ed was max on a jewel though?

I had another I rolled with like 175ed, max/lvl, and max ed/lvl. That would be better then, but it'd take longer to roll the ed from dstones, right?

@ARodgers: I wouldn't DStone that bow. IT is a very good bow and worthy of DStoning; however, there will be an increase in Bow Base Dmg in the next patch. Save the DStones and try to get a better bow in the next patch. Just a tip...

At first glance it would be better, since you can D-stone ED% all the way to cap but not the other 2 mods. High max ED%/lvl and max/lvl is very desirable on high end weapons for that reason (at least its desirable for me hehe). However...with 175%ED you will A LOT of Maple Leaves so that always needs to be considered.

@Logger

Bow base damage on this bow will change with the coming base damage change also, so its nothing to worry about. My katana did the same, when Tsuru nerfed the damage a bit the katana damage still adjusted even though it was made a few patches back.

So if I dstone it to a really good bow and there is a new patch, then the bow's base dmg won't convert when I install the new patch? Sorry if it's a dumb question. I'm fairly new to ES

I believe the base damage will be converted with the new patch.

I would recommend to base upgrade as well, maybe wait until the new patch is available. With the base upgrade you will have less room for dstoning. You can also dstone open wounds and crushing blow on it or IAS (if using EE). We will see how Eagle Eye is with the patch with the attack speed penalty. There is also Tinkering available that can boost the damage.

I was under the impression it would stay the same, just like uniques and sets and other items that are changed.

Some stats are stored on the item itself, these stay the same when a new patch changes the base item or the unique item. e.g. the %ED.

Other stats are not stored on the item itself, but the item itself only has a "pointer" to the stats.
Basically the base item type is a number that tells the game at which place in the weapon table the stats are. When the stats in that table change, the item changes accordingly.
All runes/gems are only pointers into a table.

I think it is more complicated with the set items. Some of the stats are on the item (AFAIK the item stats; blue and green) while others are fetched from the table (whole set and partial set boni; gold)

Hello everyone.

This is my first, but probably not last issue in this topioc.

This time its about a javelin.

I'm have this infinity project of making some "ultimate" weapons, by using ethereal rares rerolled into good mods, then dstoned to kadzook levels, level reduced by secret recipe 50.

This is the first one of those items, after i used all my accumulated maple leaves and dstoned it up to lvl 98. It's still far from compleate, but i think its still useful.

Dstoning has increased attackspeed by 20% and damage by some, nothing else has been dstoned yet.

Its not forged or gemmed yet either, so i have a long way to go.

http://img362.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... daydb2.jpg
Seems i missed few lines from the bottom, it has more attack rating against demons and +bazillion to level requirement. And its ethereal.

PS. Thanks to ARogers for the base item

i can't seem to find ethereal items myself {:-)

Rate it and send me maple leaves so i can complete it faster!

hehe, nice! I am working on a similar project, a rare set of ethereal throwing daggers. I only D-stoned it to level 80 so far, but they are in the 900+ max range also. Only problem is you have to wait for them to replenish by themselves since you can't refill them in the cube.

I'm also looking for ethereal throwing daggers for the same project, as well as a quality sword.

I like the PFE aura when equipped a lot, as well as the extra 3xx ED against demons, makes killing bosses a breeze i'd think.

You can't replenish daggers in the cube? at least the javelins you can, which is quite hawt. if you couldn't it'd be a major problem, because they don't have replenishes quantity :D

Oh yeah, and those javelins level dependant max damage and max ed are in the picture from lvl 86, so i can get some more damage there too o/

That's pretty stupid, if you can't replenish daggers but javelins you can.

I tested, you CAN replenish ethereal javelins in cube.

You are correct, my mistake.

Ethereal weapons are not supposed to be repaired by the cube, so I thought it would apply to replenishing throwing weapons. You are right though, they are being replenished. I don't know if Tsuru intended for that, but there is no mention of specifically non-ethereal throwing weapons like the other two repair recipes so maybe its a feature?
