I would like someone to point out an eventual escape from an inevitable situatian: deleting my character and starting a fresh one. I havea level 40 necromancer and I played many hours and I think it is inevitable to die from time to time in such a long play time. Thus my endurance dropped very low and my summons are very weak. For example I should be able to summon about 5 skeleton warriors and 5 skeleton mages but instead I am stuck with 2 of each. I think TrueMage should make the +endurance to talisman easier to make. I mean 30 perfect gems(5 chipped gems of elements) are a bit too hard to make for just 1 ENDURANCE. how about just 1 or two chipped gems of elements?

This recipe was made not for Endurance boosting actually, it was made for utilization of superflous gems of elements ;)

TBH thats how it goes in some mods. You have to learn to adapt to how the mod maker intends it to be. Sometimes you will have to start over. Ive done that countless of times in different mods.

Just because you may have had problems with dying doesnt mean others will. Changing a recipe to be cheaper even if it seems slight can greatly change how the mod is.

Or you can make it up with charms or items. the Skillful like a Fox item from the murderer teachings set has like..25 or 50 to endurance. i've found a number of small charms with 20 or more to endurance. the Skillful item is a mask i believe if you wanted to try to gamble for it. i had my sorc down to where i couldn't even cast energy shield, which meant she was useless but i was able to recover and then make a real effort to stop dying (hit escape when it starts to go bad). and, once you get endurance up say..20 points, you will recover most of your functionality. but you'll have to be more conservative when you are making your way through a map, that is until you get some items that make you much more powerful.

as far as starting over goes- once you get a decent amount of items saved up from higher level characters, you can create great equipment for your lower chars, crank the players up to 10 and blast through the levels.

Then, at level 46, there is an item that can be made and gain you 50% to exp gained. check the spoilers thread.

BFE is only REALLY hard when you are first starting out. after that, your characters won't be as time consuming. and almost everyone has hit this wall. I was one of the biggest complainers about endurance, but..it is what it is and truemage has held firm on players learning how to use and manage endurance. also, as far as making a chipped gem of elements- as Sonath said, flawless gems drop a lot in NIghtmare, especially in the Kurast area and worldstone keep..you won't have THAT much trouble making the chipped gem of elements and you'll probably find some cool stuff in the process of looking for gems.

when i started out, i saved EVERYTHING. this means every chipped gem, skull, every single magic ring, ammy, whatever dropped it could put to use in quantity.
believe me, gems are easier to get than enough magic rings and ammys to make 1 unique of each.
...and once you have an enourmous amount of stuff, you'll have tons of left over stuff to experiment with in the cube. That thing is really powerful in this mod. Read your cube recipes file in the docs very thoroughly.

For most, yes. but, given the items i've found and/or created, p4 wasn't difficult enough, so i was compelled to change that.

unless changing it doesn't do anything, but it seems to in that everything suddenly can stand up to my merciless barrage and i begin to gain exp again.. :)

If this is outside of the parameters of the mod, then i apologize for speaking of it publicly. i don't push it here on the Keep and those wishing to follow suit may figure out how to on their own. but, fact is the soul extraction ability, upgrade recipies and plugy features enable you to get really, really godly.
