This is the Base files needed to install and play Lament of Innocence. It included all the game files, such as edited .DLL's, Plugy Files, and d2Mod Files. Roughly 80MB in Size.

This version of the mod is a HUGE update to the Alpha version, and is not compatable with it. For best results, go into your Diablo II/Mods folder and delete the Lament Mod before installing the beta version.


Beta v2.00 Changes

Current List of Changes:

1) Made the mod a single-classed mod again(barbarian-themed). This was done so that the whole game is streamlined towards a specific character and eliminates "useless" items. I have provided the edited .dll to allow you to change it back to a multi-class mod if you so wish (which will be unsupported).

2) Fixed all the character sounds so that "female" characters sound like females when shouting or attacking and visa versa. (IE: Amazons no longer sound like Barbarians when using "War Cries", and Paladins no longer sound like Amazons when using "Cleave", exc). This was done for those wishing to continue playing the mod with all 7 classes.

3) Fixed the skills "Bolt of Zeus" and "Hurricane" so they appear on the currect tier when using your speed bar (Right & Left Click Mouse Buttons).

4) Fixed the skill "All Skills Bonus" so that it ONLY works as a synergy bonus when using the skill "Battle Commands". (It "was" working as a normal passive skill without using the warcry).

5) Enabled new monster graphics for the following superunique monsters :
Corpsefire , Bishibosh , Bonebreak , Rakanishu , Treehead Woodfist , Boneash.
Bloodwitch the Wild , Beetleburst , Dark Elder , Fangskin , Fire Eye.
Sszark the Burning , Witchdoctor Endugu , Stormtree , Sarina the Battlemaid , Icehawk Riftwing.
Taintbreeder , Riftwraith the Cannibal , Darkwing , The Tormentor , Infector of Souls , Grand Vizier of Chaos , Lord De Seis.
Eldritch the Rectifier , Eyeback the Unleashed , Frozenstein , Snapchip Shatter ,

6) Enabled the following new SuperUnique Bosses:
Flamespike the Crawler (with new graphics) ,
Ancient Kaa the Soulless (with new graphics).
Taintbreeder (with new graphics) , Riftwraith the Cannibal (with new graphics) , Darkwing (with new graphics) , The Tormentor (with new graphics).


7) Removed all Superunique Monster's natural ability to regenerate damage from wounds. Beyond this, I haven't tested any superuniques "toughness", so some of them may be to strong for some players when you first encounter them. Use caution.

8) Enabled Holy Water & Sacred Water and added them to normal drop tables. They can also be purchased from Jamella (Act 4) for 900,00 / 2,000,000. The cubing formulas to purify and enhance Unique Items have been enabled as well.
- Holy Water can be used (Via a cube recepe) to remove "cursed" properties from Unique Items.
- Sacred Water is even rarer then Holy Water, and they can be used (Via cube recepe) to further "Enhance" or "Enchant" uniques that have already been purified with Holy Water.
- NO runewords have been made at this time, thus the cubing formulas to purify Runes have been left disabled.

9) Books of Lore have been enabled and added to normal drops. The books will give anywhere from 1 - 3 bonus skill points to the player that reads them (1 point being common and 3 points being ultra-rare). You can purchase the +1 skill books from Akara in Act 1 , Alkor in Act 3 , and Malah in Act 5 (for 800,000 gold each).
- Added a 1 point Book Of Lore to Andariel's , Duriel's , Mephisto's , Diablo's , and Baal's Quest drops rewards ( for all difficulties ).

10) Experience Elixirs have been enabled and will be part of drops for all difficulties. These are potions that the player right-clicks to gain the amount of extra experience points as stated in the elixirs discription.

11) Greatly reduced the value of certain item stat properties. This reduces how much you will sell certain items for, but also reduces how much it will cost to buy them as well.
- This was done mostly because some "cursed" items properties were WAY overpriced, and the only way to "somewhat" fix this was to reduce the value of certain itemstatcost values.

12) Adjusted the blocking % on shields.

13) Reduced the frequency of the "rarer" magicical prefixes and sufixes so they don't appear on magic and rare items as much.

14) Enabled perfect gems to drop as normal treasure on Hell Difficulty (and only for Hell Difficulty).

15) Improved some item property strings so they read better (such as grouping "All Resist % (based on Character Level)" into one heading instead of split into individual lines per type).

16) Added 16 new unique items (: 40 total).

17) Added 1 new set (: 1 total).

18) Disabled the class-specific "Barbarian Helms" (they were replaced with the class-oriented rings in an earlier patch).
