I just downloaded that hamachi thing... possibly ill try it out later.

i just wanted to suggest that on open bnet we have a channel for users of this mod so we can know if anyone that has it is on. for example, channel median or modsbylaz.

either way, i was just on for like an hour and nobody came on who had it... it was just a waste of time.

idk if anyone has suggested anything like this, i dont have time to read the 4 pages of posts.

What is the chance that somebody (who is probably going to quit after 1 minute instead of 1 hour) comes on during that exact hour, out of the 168 hours in a week?

Hence the whole problem with multiplayer. Back when the website still had a link to the Keep chat channel, it was not uncommon for people to join, say 'anybody wants to play??', then quit immediately. An hour later, the next guy joins. Same story.

Regardless of how many people want to play multiplayer, if they are never online at the same time it will never take off. (Not to mention the fact that Hamachi only works on WinXP)

thats why i said we should have a battlenet chat room to see if other people are on when you are, or some other way to see if anyone wants to play. i understand you taking down the chat channel though.

Hello. I just got this mod today. If I knew you (Laz) in person, I'd bow down at your feet and praise you. THANK YOU OMFG! This is the greatest mod EVER!
Only 1 thing : I have no idea how to play with others. I downloaded the Hamachi thing but don't know how it has anything to do with your mod.
Please help, I have a level 5 barbarian and really want to play online with others!

Oh and btw I have a question about Hamachi.
Can't you just go to Diablo and click TCP/IP and enter the other person's IP adress and join them with your char?? Seems much less confusing for me

Okay voldemorte, I logged onto your hamachi server and I went to diablo 2 and went to "TCP/IP GAME" and entered somebody's IP that I saw. I actually tried twice. Both times it said "Failed to join server".
What's going on here and how can I fix it???

ok i'm on and looking for someone to start a new character with. I'm new to the median mod. Making a pally, i have newest median08, plugy, i'm on Med08Players, pass is laz. I will be up late tonight if anyone is game, i'll check back in about 2hours.

I tried to install Diablo 2 on my computer, but for some odd reason it wouldnt... The installation aborted every time it got to the file D2Music.mpq ......I'm not sure why. But I'm not too mad, I'll just stick with my other house where my chars are
