hey, i have a rather odd request but, do u think you could put the epxerience.txt file in ur data/global/excel file in the same format as the others there? this way it would be much easier to edit with out having to get it out of the MPQ file.

For editing the expirience.txt file, why not just make the data folder, make your changes, and run the game in direct -txt?

I don't think the mod is inteneded to be edited in the first place though.

Xenast is right, i dont have anything against it if someone wants to make som small changes for personal use, but if you want to use material from my mod in a mod that you will release for the public, send me an e-mail or a pm and ask for permission.
Also ccm4 will be released in mpq format only. :D


Edit:

heres a list of some of the changes iv done sofar:

Changed Mavinas set (more parts)

New cube recipes
1 any normal armor/weapon + el = same item with 1-6 sockets.
2 Ring + mavinas bow = turns bow into Ceremonial javelin

Changes to items:
-Aniihilius charm is now droppable
-Constrict ring also enabled
-I balanced the Volf exp charm, it now gives 10-50% more exp, i did this coz the inventory is now bigger so
-you can have more charms, and i wanted to make exping a bit more difficult.
-60 new uniques, some of them sold in Elzix shop.

Skill changes
Removed dueation from necro revive skill.
Max skill level is raised to 70


Gambling
You can now gamble almost anything

Carry more gold
At lv 99 you can have 20000000 gold in stash and in inventory that makes 40000000 in total. Usefull when

Runewords in uniques,sets and magic items
You can make runewords in any item qoulity, ex use the socket recipe on a wf untill you get 6 sockets, then turn it in to a silence windforce.

Hirelings
Hirelings can wear 1 ring, amu, boots,belt,weapon,helm,armor and gloves.

inventory
Character inventory grid is increased to 6x13 so you have room for loads of charms.

Elzix has opened up a new shop where he sells hes goods, oculus rings, booze, steroids and sush. :)

Do have an ETA for the release of CCM 4?

Toning down the exp mod on the charms is a good idea.. in CCM 3, once you hit level 24 or so you buy 5 charms and gain levels like a level 1 leech in Hell Cows.. and I think the exp charms should cost more too.. sacrifice alot of gold to go up levels faster..

Well i just started working on ccm4 today (up till today i have only been gathering ideas and done the inventory increase) so it will take some time to finnish it, and after that there will be a closed beta test then bugfix and finally a public release.

Prises are already changed , cheat charms cost 3million gold and gold is harder to get coz the vendors whent back to their greedy habbits :D

Il keep you updated on the progress in this thread.

For toning down the exp, you should consider making the ancient bosses give less exp. I got around 40 levels with exp charms from baal in normal, even with less exp charms in hell thats still an amazingly high amount of exp.

Ancient duriel has 1655 in exp column, regular duriel has 1655, the only difference is that ancient duriel is level 40 in norm, 70 in nm and 110 in hell, so the charms are the main reason to the huge exp. :D
I think with the charms will solve the problem, well we will know for shore when testing begins :D

There is no deadline, putting a deadline on aproject would take the fun away from modding and the result would be something bad. Im just modding when i feel like it but eventually the mod will be ready for testing :)

Kurast Docks has a dark secret, this area has 3 new superuniques and some realy powerfull monsters.

For the uniques at E-Bay, are they always the same? If not, how many are possible to buy and what costs? Looks like a cool idea, just wanna know more :)

Sofar they are always the same, when i try to make them rnadomly spawn in the store they dont spawn at al. This may change before i release. Oh and there is 1 armor page full, maby 10-15 items, then in miscpage theres maby 30 nice "E-Bay" items. (Still working on it thou).

Are CCM4 and Volfs mod (as seen under Non-Hosted mods thread) the same mod or are you working on more then one mod???

The graphics look insane on Volf's Mod. I am astounded. Good job man.

I added cafa's Jedi Knight plugin, it changes the werewolf in to a Jedi knight.
Also added cafa's Darth maul plugin (replaces were bear.

Selfe muling in singel player enabled:
How to do it:
Make a copy of your d2 start icon on your desctop go to propertys of the first one and ad -w to target, line should look like this:
"C:\Path \Diablo II\Game.exe" -w
Example, mine Diablo2 is installed in programfiles so my shortcut looks like this.
"C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Game.exe" -w

Now start the game from your normal shortcut and host a TC/IP game, then start another game from your new d2 shortcut and join the game your other character hosts. You can also ad -w to the end of your normal shortcut so that both run in windowed mode (dont have to, but its easyer to toggle between games).
Note Use windows button to toggle between games.

I found a unique defender in the blood moor, but it already had the unique art work. When i was trading with akara i tried to id it. It didn't work so i just sold it how it was. When i bought it back it was still unid.
p.s. i was in normal, only level 4 or so.

You found one of the new unique items, it only has a unique version, no normal magic or rare. So if the monster that drops it isnt high enough the stats of the shield cant spawn, so it remains without stats, there are several of theese special items, the look like the normal ones and have same name but they are actually different. If you find the same item in nm or hell it will have stats but if you find it in norm its useless ;)

I have never been able to get your mod to work right.
Whenever I try to load it the game gives me an error (line #826 I think) and says something about the scenery or environment (forgot, haven't played in about a week).

I have tried this with versions 1 & 3
If you could help I would be very thankful.

CCM1 doesnt change any sceenarie so we can rule out that.

Do you have patch 1.10 installed

Could you post the exact error message
