Good suggestions, they are very similar to a side project Godsheadlament wants to do with me, which is a mod based on DynastyWarriors,
and in that mod we would have lots of bodyguards (being new summonables)
One problem is you cant add more than 1 hireling even with massive code editting, would be very problematic.
But you could set up new summons to act like these bodyguards (you wouldnt be able to equip them) though they could spawn with random equipment liek valkyrie, though again you couldnt see this equipment.

See if you can find the thread in Mod ideas forum about dynsty warriors, I will continue posting there when I have more time. Making summonables is not the easiest thing to explain, and stretches my abilities as far as they will go ;)

Commanding summonables is pretty difficult though, there is no ai set-up for many things, but you can set-up skills they can use that may help.
You can make the ai better than skeletons though luckily we can use shadowmaster AI :) Which is more versitale.

When i'm done work i will see what I can come up with for this idea, though no promises...busy..busy..busy, never enough time in the day;)

I figured you had given up on that idea lol. It's nice to see you still have interest, even if it's waning.

I didn't forget just been busy with ORM ;)
Now lets split further discussion on non-ORM stuff off to another thread in the appropriate forum people :P

New screenshot of Inquisition melee skill,
both Inquisition and Ferver working 100% :) :D :victory: :buzzsaw:

EDIT: next up->Heaven's Strike, replacing FOH so you know its gonna rock...jeez I think paladins gonna be my char of choice just because of this skill.

EDIT2: some small updates:
lots of little tweaks have been done, one example is necromancer can cast 1 of each golem now, and druids can summon bear in addition to one type of wolf. Some graphic changes also added.
After lots of trying, Heaven's Strike finally in game. And paladins also get a new version of fire bolt instead of holy bolt, pretty neat as it explodes like immolation arrow. Heaven's Strike is modified version of lightning strike.
Full animation for bunny working with Haunting now.
Only a few more skills until paladins are finished.

Until next time,

Sounds good Mishy, keep us informed, we are quite interested in seeing what "EBIL" you have planned next. A golemmancer would be rather scary.

More updates ;)

Okay last three paladin skills are being worked on as we speak:
Replacing the three resist auras are three passives:
Loyalty
Courage
Honor

Now what each does you'll have to wait to see :)
Some skills have switched levels, i.e. Sanctuary is level 6 while Thorns is level 24.

Okay up next is Barbarian, if you have any ideas,
I still need skills to replace bash and concentration, also 1 warcry skill needed, and one passive to replace stamina.
Of course I already have some ideas i'm working on, but definatly want barbarians to be the king of combat.

Dual wield profeciency. I dunno if this is possible, but make a passive that gives barbs little bonuses for wielding two weapons.

I already explored this ;)
And found out way too fast this is over powered as you can
gain bonus from sword mastery and then dual wield mastery and it all just added up way to high.
Then I decided just to make it give IAS, but most the two handed attacks are fast enough as is.
So i dropped the idea entirely.

I am pondering adding crossbow mastery to barbarian, and make it worthwhile so atleast one class has a use for crossbows finally.

Otherwise, maybe knife mastery, but i'm not sure what the point would be.

X-Bow mastery was actually my first choice, but I avoided saying so in fear of flames. lol.

Its settled then,
well back to modding,
wish me luck trying to make a new version of fire claws, blended with whirl
and a version of bash that slows insteads of knock backs.

One update, new fire claws working!
Its a strange whirlwind animation attack, that deals only 1/8th weapon damage + fire damage that increases per level.
I like how it looks, the bear whirling is strange, he doesnt really move, but the swirls appear around him, new skill name is blood frenzy. (Bear only). fury skill for wolf will be called blood fury. (wolf only).

Now we look to have 3 people working on unique/runeword creation!!!
This is great news to me. Already have lots of submissions, and they will all make the next patch.

Keep up the great work.
Today I truly start Barbarian skills, 4 classes done, 3 to go :)
-Mishy23

EDIT: Okay barbarian skills:
Removed - spear mastery, stamina, bash, concentrate, frenzy, leap attack, find potion, and howl.
Renamed - find item -> pillage
New skill ideas:
1)New frenzy like attack, two weapons needed, increases defense/Ias but slows runwalk down. Not sure of name or final abilities.
but think of it as a two weapon attack that you move so fast, that you can block everything around you.
2)Crossbow Mastery! normal mastery bonuses plus piercing at high lv
3)A fire nova like attack, gonna try and get leaping animation in it somehow
4)Rage - a warcry that enrages allies and increases their damage and run/walk speed
5)ARMAGEDDON - yes druids are losing it, this now belongs to the king of combat....short duation, utter obliteration (war cry tab)
6)New passive, undecided
7)+8)2 new combat skills, undecided

Could you possibly give the barb's xbow mastery IAS? Or give him a combat skill that does so? As we all know xbows are pretty slow unless you get your hands on a chu (repeating).

Good idea, I think I was gonna do that, then forgot about it.
okay NOTED now, defiantely will add IAS, probably will take pierce away or wont add it to the mastery until high level like 18+
-Mishy23

Still need a new idea for a passive Barb skill (or aura or self-cast spell)
to replace the totally useless increased stamina.
I have all the melee skills planned now, hopefully I am to do what I wish with them.
-Mishy23

Tonight i'll show pictures of Heaven's Strike,
I never really liked lightning strike, but man what a difference it makes
changing it to a fire skill and giving it to paladins and adding graphics to show the monsters catch on fire when hit. ;)

BTW, true faith was meant to be a shield attack, but unable to pull that off, so its back to being a normal weapon attack, but pretty nice as it fires off a beam of holy light when you strike, so you can hit one monster, and damage the back ranks with the holy 'beam'

Just a small break down:
Paladins - mainly have fire/ltng skills
Barbarians - mainly have fire/cold skills
Amazons - will have mainly ltng/fire/pois skills (no more cold)
Assassins - will have mainly pois/ltng skills
Druids - have fire/cold spells/skills
Sorcs - tri elemental spells
Necros - mainly pois/cold spells

Give barb an aura similar to redemption. Call it pillage or something... I dunno man lol.

Or

Self cast enchant style, give him %Enhanced damage/Defense? Call it Call to Arms or something?
