[1.14D] Aura on Gethit(?)

Post by Woestave » Sun Mar 03, 2024 11:52 pm

Hello,

Have tested an aura on gethit (ItemEffect 1) and it's activated for a second or so, anyone know if it's actually possible to have it activated longer on ctc? Auralen doesn't seem to help in this case.

Hi Woestave, a cast aura will only be active for up to the duration of its perdelay column, in frames. Auras have perdelay=50 by default, so they will last anywhere from 1 to 50 frames (perdelay seems to be on a global timer, so depending on luck it may go away almost instantly or up to its max duration). You could make an aura last for a while by making the ctc summon a temporary pet with the aura instead, although that probably isn't ideal in all circumstances.

Hey Cypress,

Hmm the global timer on that isn't helping the case, read about a castable aura; could try the results if that's on gethit.

As for the summon with an aura: tried a summon on gethit with an aura, it'll work though dies when I'm running out of less range than normal; also need the aura to stay a specific time.

I'm using prayer aura with hitpoints and perdelay as a base which won't work with enchant like skills as the health will be lost once the length runs out; guess I'll have to check hpregen and match the calc for hitpoints and perdelay.

In the case of Enchant, hitpoints gained from hpregen will be saved regardless of the source, so there's no advantage to using an aura in that case.
In the case of auras, hitpoints and perdelay is irrelevant for ctc, as it will only activate once on ctc, and so you will only heal once whether the perdelay is 500 or 10.
