ok ..If you wanna play Ancestrall Recall ONLINE u can play on my server..My server runs Bnetd with d2closed and d2gs...very stable.Always on T1 connection.There are 200 Characters that are playing on my server and there is NO hacking....If u proove yourself to be good you can win cool Items,Sets,Uniques ...etc. i hold contests.

If u wanna play u have to use a "Battle.Net Gateway Editor" and put this information:

I would love to play AR on your server. Could you tell me where to get the Battle.net Gateway editor. I have looked online but can't seem to find it. Also, as I work 4-Midnight I would be playing mostly during the day while my kids and wife are gone. Unsure whether you have certain times the server is up or not. Thanks.

i just downloaded AR and gateway editor and loaded it all up and when i get on AR server and try and create a char it keeps telling me the chatacter name has already been taken and ive tried tons including ones that there is no way someone has so help me out whats going on!?!

Are you sure, you are on the {No mentioning of private realms - consider this a warning}' server? You have to take the right gateway before connecting to the server.

If you are on this server, did you create an account? If you did, do you see the realm AR in the upper right corner?

Could it be that you've "[" or "]" characters in your account name ?
If so, you may create a new account cause some bnetd branches have problems with these characters.

Playing AR on the internet is kool, but do u lose all ur items that r out of the normal inv./stash/cube space cause my friend said he lost it when he went online and played with his char then the next day it was all gone????

Nooooo, that's not normal !
If you start playing closed on a server you've to start wit a new char. Everything you're collecting is yours and remains yours. Doesn't matter how often you connect/disconnetc from the server.
It's the same as playing single player, except that the chars/items/... are stored on that server instead of your PC.

I've only two explanations to your friends problem:
Either he connected to different servers or the server he was connected to has had a problem and made a rollback.

Have you tried the regfile ?!? It's much more easier with that.
