You have very inspiring ideas, Xaphan, I am sure the result will surpass the beta of 6.00. The d2 engine is even too cluttered for the "el grande" project you go for, so I wish you find a way to achieve the gameplay you seek with less troubles in the way.

Hello. You might want to create a specific treasure class in TreasureClassEx.txt with probability for dropping each item as you wish. Assign the new treasure class for Griswold into Monstats.txt and it should work exactly as you wish.

But I don't think colors can cause the "invisibility" issue. If used with diablo 2 "units palette" pure black is rendered invisible. ;) And, yes, .txt files do not hold the information you seek, as far as I know, so maybe hardcoding will be necessary to solve the issue.
